Hi, I’m Karla Ortiz-Flores. I’m a technologist by trade and a threat analyst by instinct. I lead technology and cybersecurity for a multifamily office in New York. Before that, I worked as a consultant for Fortune 500 firms, building data systems and advising on strategy.
I mainly write about the gray zones of technology. The moments when systems fail quietly, where trust erodes, and where logic starts to twist. My focus includes cryptographic key theft, zero-day exploit chains, AI decision loops, and the strange edge cases that expose how fragile modern infrastructure really is.
I grew up in Carolina, Puerto Rico, and have spent the last 14 years in the U.S. exploring how complex systems are built, broken, and rebuilt. I believe that great analysis tells a story, and great stories expose the systems we take for granted.
This space is where I unpack what I’m seeing. Thanks for reading.
